Estar no fim de um grupo, especialmente em movimento; ser o último da fila ou posição.

Expressão formal/descritiva, comum em narrativas, contexto militar ou grupos a andar juntos. Não confundir com ‘ficar para trás’ (por lentidão). ‘Bring up the rear’ é neutro ou até proposital.
