Definition
숫자, 양, 시간 등이 정확하진 않지만 실제 값에 가깝다는 의미로 사용된다. 주로 공식적이고 사실적인 상황에서 쓰인다.

'about', 'around'보다 더 격식 있는 표현입니다. 주로 숫자 앞에 씁니다: '대략 20명'. 'approximately at 6'은 어색하니 'at approximately 6 o’clock' 또는 자연스럽게 'at about 6'처럼 표현하세요. 논문이나 공식 문서에서 자주 사용됩니다.
