Passado de 'yell'. Significa gritar ou dizer algo bem alto, muitas vezes por raiva, medo, empolgação ou para ser ouvido de longe.

Geralmente é mais forte e mais emocional do que 'shouted'. Combinações comuns: 'yell at someone' (gritar com/alguém, geralmente com raiva) e 'yell for help'. Pode soar negativo, mas nem sempre: também se usa em momentos de empolgação ou aviso.
