자연에서 자유롭게 사는 말을 의미한다. 관용 표현 '야생마도 나를 못 하게 해'는 아무것도 나를 억지로 시킬 수 없다는 뜻이다.

'야생마도 못~'와 같이 부정문에서 많이 쓰며, 아주 단호한 의지나 거부를 나타낸다. 동물에 대해 말할 때는 드물게 사용된다.
