‘왜’의 복수형으로, 어떤 일에 대한 여러 가지 이유나 설명을 의미합니다. 일반적으로 추상적이거나 포괄적인 맥락에서 사용됩니다.

매우 공식적이며 주로 글에서 사용됩니다. 'the whys and wherefores'는 모든 이유를 의미합니다. 일상 회화에서는 거의 쓰이지 않습니다.
