Usar un batidor u otra herramienta para mezclar o batir ingredientes rápidamente, generalmente para darles aire y hacerlos más ligeros y esponjosos.

Muy usado en la cocina, sobre todo para huevos, crema y masas. No es lo mismo que 'remover' (movimiento más suave). 'Batir' implica velocidad e incorporar aire. Principalmente se usa como término culinario.
