何かを得るために何を失うのか、犠牲になるのかを問う表現で、しばしば本当に価値があるかどうかや隠れた代償を強調します。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に書き言葉やフォーマルな場面で使われ、日常会話ではほとんど使われません。「what price freedom?（自由の代償は？）」などの形が多いです。
