घाट पानी के किनारे बनाया गया एक समतल ढांचा है, जहाँ नावें सामान या यात्री लोड और अनलोड करने के लिए रुकती हैं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

"Wharf" औपचारिक या समुद्री सन्दर्भों में अधिक इस्तेमाल होता है। ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी में "quay" ज़्यादा आम है। इसे "dock" (जहाँ जहाज मरम्मत होते हैं) या "pier" (मनोरंजन के लिए बना पुल) से न मिलाएँ। आमतौर पर 'at the wharf' कहा जाता है।
