베란다는 집 바깥쪽에 위치한 지붕이 있는 공간으로, 앉아서 쉬거나 대화를 나누는 곳입니다.

미국 영어에서는 ‘veranda’ 대신 ‘porch’가 더 자주 사용됨. ‘베란다’는 보통 집 정면이나 측면에 길게 나와있는 지붕이 있는 공간을 의미하며, '발코니'와는 구별됨.
