‘Up to’는 최대치를 나타내거나 어떤 것이 누구에게 달려 있을 때 사용된다.

최대 인원수나 한도를 나타낼 때('up to 10 people'), 책임이나 결정('It's up to you'), 현재 행위 질문('What are you up to?')에 쓴다. 책임 의미는 비격식적. '대략'은 아님.

You can bring up to three friends to the party.

파티에 친구를 **최대** 세 명까지 데려올 수 있어.

It's up to you to choose the movie.

영화를 고르는 건 **너에게 달려 있어**.

The sale lasts up to Friday.

세일은 **금요일까지**야.
