কেউ যখন চাপ বা ব্যস্ততার পর আরাম অনুভব করে অথবা কোনো কিছু প্যাঁচানো বা জড়ানো অবস্থায় থাকলে তা সোজা বা মুক্ত করে।

'She unwinds' বা 'he unwinds' এর মতো বাক্যগুলোতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'The rope unwinds' দ্বারা দড়ির খোলা বোঝানো হয়। কারো বিশ্রামের জন্য এটি ইন্টারনাল ও কথ্যরূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
