Definition

কিছু বা কাউকে তার আসল গুরুত্ব, দক্ষতা বা দাম থেকে কম মনে করা। অনেক সময় কোনো বিষয়ের উপকারিতা বা কারও সক্ষমতা কম ধরে নেওয়া বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Underrate' সাধারণত কোনো কিছুর গুরুত্ব বা কারও সামর্থ্য যথাযথভাবে না বোঝানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'underrate the importance', 'underrated actor'—এরকম বাক্যে প্রচলিত। 'Underestimate' সংখ্যাগত বা কঠিনতা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, 'underrate' মূল্য বা গুরুত্বের জন্য।
