Definition
Mover literalmente o corpo ou o rosto para outra direção; também é usado quando alguém escolhe ignorar um problema ou fingir que não percebeu algo.

Geralmente usado de forma figurada para falar de ignorar situações difíceis, principalmente questões sociais ou morais. O uso literal também é possível. Não confundir com 'turn the other cheek' ('dar a outra face').
