"trundle" in Japanese

ゆっくり転がるゆっくり動かす

Definition

物や人が、特に車輪の上で、重たくゆっくり動くこと。押したり転がしたりする意味もある。

文学的で日常会話ではあまり使われません。重たくてテンポの遅い動きを表します。「ベッドをtrundleする」や「人がtrundleする」場合に使います。

The old man trundled his cart down the street.

おじいさんはカートをゆっくり**転がし**ながら通りを歩いた。

Children trundled their toy trucks in the sandbox.

子供たちは砂場でおもちゃのトラックを**ゆっくり動かしていた**。

A suitcase trundled past us on the conveyor belt.
