Definition
Un 'tier' es uno de varios niveles o capas en un sistema, organización o estructura. Puede referirse a una fila física, una categoría según rango o estatus, o un grupo en una jerarquía.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mucho en contextos técnicos, empresariales y de videojuegos ('jugador de nivel superior', 'ciudades de segundo nivel'). 'Top tier' es el nivel más alto. No se usa para 'piso' de edificio (decir 'piso'). Se combina con 'sistema', 'servicio', 'precios', 'pastel', 'liga'.
