Definition
Lançar ou atirar algo rapidamente pelo ar em direção a alguém ou algo, normalmente com força, para atingir ou chamar a atenção.

'Throw at' usa-se quando se pretende atingir alguém ou algo, às vezes por raiva ou para chamar atenção. Não confundir com 'throw to' (dar algo, não atacar: 'throw the ball to me' vs 'throw the ball at me'). Também usado de forma figurada ('throw insults at').
