यह 'thousand' का बहुवचन रूप है और कई 1,000 के समूहों को दर्शाता है। इसका इस्तेमाल सामान्य रूप से बहुत बड़ी संख्या में लोगों या चीज़ों के लिए भी किया जाता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'two thousand' जैसे सटीक संख्या के बाद 'thousand' आता है, 'thousands' नहीं। हम कहते हैं 'two thousand people', लेकिन 'thousands of people'। 'thousands of' किसी बहुत बड़ी लेकिन सटीक न बताई गई संख्या के लिए बहुत आम संरचना है।
