어떤 물체의 표면이 실제로 또는 시각적으로 느껴지는 모습. 미술이나 디자인에서는 표면의 느낌이나 모양을 나타냄.

주로 예술, 디자인, 음식, 재료에서 쓸 때 많음. 'soft textures', 'rough textures', 'mix of textures' 같은 표현이 많으며, 한 종류면 'texture', 여러 종류면 'textures' 사용. 'textiles'(직물)와 혼동 금지.
