প্রচলিত: 'অস্থায়ী চাকরি', 'অস্থায়ী সমাধান', 'অস্থায়ী বাসস্থান'। সাধারণত 'স্থায়ী'র বিপরীত অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'temporary' মানে সবসময় খুব স্বল্প নয়, কেবল অস্থায়ীকালীন।
