場所の片側からもう片側へ非常に速く移動すること。通常は走ったり車で急いだりする場合を指します。

口語的な表現で、人や動物、乗り物がとても速く勢いよく横切る時に使います。「tear」はここでは「破る」意味ではありません。よく場所と一緒に使います。
