Definition
আদালতে সাক্ষী হিসেবে আদালতের নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে দাঁড়িয়ে সাক্ষ্য প্রদান করা। সাধারণত সাক্ষীরা আদালতে এই কাজটি করেন।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
শুধুমাত্র আইনি বা আদালতের প্রেক্ষাপটে ব্যবহার হয়। 'take a stand' এবং 'take the stand' আলাদা অর্থ; এটি কেবল আদালতের সাক্ষ্য সম্পর্কিত কথায় বলা হয়।
Examples
