온라인에서 진실을 꿰뚫어본다는 뜻으로 자주 쓰인다. 농담이나 진지하게 모두 쓸 수 있고, 때론 정치적 의미도 포함될 수 있다. 반대 표현은 'take the blue pill'이다. 타인을 깔보는 용도로는 쓰지 않는 것이 좋다.
