अधिकारिक दस्तावेज़ जो किसी को कोर्ट में उपस्थित होने या कानूनी मामले का उत्तर देने का आदेश देते हैं। आम तौर पर इनसे व्यक्ति को जज या अधिकारी के सामने उपस्थित होना पड़ता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

कानूनी और औपचारिक संदर्भों में प्रयोग होता है; 'summonses' 'summons' का बहुवचन है। अदालतों और पुलिस में आम है। 'subpoena' से न भ्रमित करें (जो गवाही/सबूत माँगता है)। 'Summonses' आमतौर पर सिर्फ़ उपस्थित होने का आदेश देते हैं, गवाही जरूरी नहीं।
