'Summits' पहाड़ की ऊँचाई और उच्चस्तरीय नेताओं की बैठक दोनों के लिए प्रयोग होता है। राजनीति में 'summit' का अर्थ अंतरराष्ट्रीय नेताओं की मुख्य बैठक है। केवल पहाड़ों के लिए 'peaks' शब्द आता है। सामान्य वाक्यांश: 'reach the summit', 'summit meeting.'
