'Stub out' अधिकतर सिगरेट के लिए है, बड़े आग या मोमबत्ती के लिए नहीं। यह अनौपचारिक है, लेकिन स्लैंग नहीं। सामान्य वाक्यांश: 'stub out a cigarette'।
