野球でバッターが三振してアウトになること。比喩的に、失敗やうまくいかなかったことにも使われる。

主にアメリカ英語で野球用語として使われる。比喩的に失敗や拒絶も表現。野球の統計では「K」や「SO」と略されることが多い。
