Definition

"steed"는 시나 판타지, 역사 소설 등에서 쓰이는, 힘세고 용감한 기사나 영웅이 타는 말을 뜻하는 옛날 표현입니다.

일상 대화에서는 거의 쓰이지 않고, 주로 시, 판타지, 역사소설에서 등장합니다. ‘noble steed’, ‘gallant steed’와 같이 특별한 느낌을 줄 때 사용합니다.

The knight rode his steed into battle.
