Definition

물건을 가지런히 쌓아 올리는 것. 물리적 대상을 비롯해, 생각이나 데이터도 질서 있게 배열할 때 쓸 수 있음.

상자, 책 등 실제 사물에 주로 쓰이지만, 일이나 데이터 등을 차곡차곡 정리할 때도 사용. 'stacking shelves', 'stacking up' 같은 표현에 등장함. 'piling'보다 공식적임.

He is stacking the boxes in the garage.
