Definition

"Spine" यानी पीठ के बीचों-बीच हड्डियों की कतार, जो शरीर को सहारा देती है। यह किताब की रीढ़ या पौधे/जानवर की नुकीली चीज़ के लिए भी इस्तेमाल हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

प्रमुख अर्थ शरीर का हिस्सा है, लेकिन किताब की पीठ या पौधे/जानवर की नुकीली चीज़ के लिए भी होता है। बोलचाल में 'has spine' = हिम्मत वाला। 'bone' या 'vertebra' से न मिलाएँ।
