香辛料を売る人、特に昔の時代の商人のことを指します。

「spicer」という言葉は現代ではほとんど使われません。「香辛料商人」や「スパイス業者」といった言い方の方が一般的です。単に料理にスパイスを加える人という意味ではありません。
