Definition

「spells」は魔法をかけるための言葉や行動、または何かが起こる短い期間を指します。

複数形で、魔法（おとぎ話・ファンタジー）や短い期間（例「a cold spell」）に使います。「綴り」の意味ではありません。

Witches in stories cast powerful spells.

物語の中で魔女は強力な**呪文**をかける。
