Definition

SOSは、緊急時に助けを求めるための国際的な救難信号です。モールス信号やメッセージ、会話で緊急の助けを求めるときに使われます。

もともとはモールス信号で使われていましたが、最近はメッセージや会話でも緊急時や困ったときに使われます。ユーモアとして軽い場面にも使うことがあります。「SOSを送る」で緊急の援助を求める意味です。
