他人への共感や社会的なルールを守ることができず、しばしば他人に害を与える行動を取る人格障害を持つ人のこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に心理学や犯罪を扱う文脈で用いられる。'psychopath'と似ているが完全に同じ意味ではないので注意。'dangerous sociopaths', 'sociopaths lack empathy' などのフレーズで見かける。
