「sling」的複數。吊帶是用來支撐受傷手臂的布帶，也指用來作為武器發射石頭的裝置。

'Slings' 既可以指醫療用的吊帶（arm slings），也可以指古代的投石器。在醫院常見 'arm slings'；而 'slings and arrows' 在文學中比喻困難。
