Definition
Permanecer sentado sin moverse ni inquietarse. Se usa a menudo para pedir que alguien se calme y no se distraiga.

Frecuente con niños o durante instrucciones ('sit still for the doctor'). Usado en contextos formales e informales. No es lo mismo que 'sit still' solo: 'for' puede indicar tiempo o situación ('sit still for cinco minutos', 'sit still for una foto').
