若者や召使いに命令口調やからかう口調で呼びかける、とても古い英語の表現。シェイクスピア作品でよく見られる。

現代ではほぼ使われず、文学や歴史劇で見かけます。侮辱的や見下す響きがあるので、普段の会話で使いません。ジョークや演劇以外では避けましょう。
