সাধারণত গরম চা, কফি বা ওয়াইন-এর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। দ্রুত বা প্রচুর পান করার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার হয় না। 'sipped tea', 'sipped slowly' এর মত বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত।
