Siluet, genellikle ayrıntıları olmadan, açık bir arka plan üzerinde bir kişi ya da nesnenin koyu şekli veya dış hatlarıdır.

'siluet' genelde sanat, fotoğrafçılık ve modada kullanılır. 'in silhouette' ve 'a striking silhouette' gibi ifadelere rastlanır. Sadece dış hatları belirtir, ayrıntılar yer almaz.
