중요하지 않은 잡담을 친한 사람들과 아주 편하게, 때로는 거칠게 하는 것. 매우 비격식적인 표현.

친구나 가까운 사람들과만 사용해야 하며, 공식적 자리에서는 절대 사용하지 않음. '수다 떨다'보다 훨씬 더 비격식적, 조금 거친 말.

We sat at the café and shot the shit for hours.

우리는 카페에 앉아서 몇 시간이고 **수다를 떨었다**.
