특정한 목적을 위해 시간이나 돈을 따로 떼어 두거나, 어떤 주제나 결정을 일시적으로 무시하는 것.

'set aside money', 'set aside time'처럼 저축이나 시간 확보에 많이 쓰임. 논의나 결정을 일시적으로 미룰 때도 사용함. 일상적이지만 약간 공식적인 느낌 있음.
