以前の状態や習慣に戻ること。また、法律や金融では権利や財産が元の所有者に戻ることを指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に法的・金融的な文脈やフォーマルな場面で使われます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。「reversion to the mean」「reversion of property」などの表現に多いです。『reversal』とは違い、「元に戻る」ことを強調します。
