특정 역할, 자질, 성취로 어떤 사람을 인정하거나 존경하는 것. 대개 칭찬과 함께 그 사람을 어떤 관점에서 본다는 뜻으로 사용된다.

보통 그 뒤에 역할 또는 자질이 옵니다: 'respect as a leader'. 단순한 'respect'보다 구체적으로 존경의 이유를 밝힘.
