不公平だと思うことや理不尽なことに対して、長い間怒りや不満の感情を抱くこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「resent」は一時的な苛立ちではなく、長期間続く根深い嫌悪感を表す。'resent someone for...' や 'resents the fact that...'とよく使われる。カジュアルな会話ではあまり使われない正式な表現。
