'Resembled' 'resemble' का भूतकाल है और सामान्यत: औपचारिक या लिखित अंग्रेज़ी में आता है। इसका अर्थ समानता है, न कि पूरी तरह एक-जैसा। अक्सर किसी संज्ञा के साथ आता है। 'looked like' से अधिक औपचारिक है।
