'rejoice' শব্দটি খুব আনুষ্ঠানিক এবং সাহিত্যিক বা ধর্মীয় বিষয়বস্তুর মধ্যে বেশি দেখা যায়; দৈনন্দিন কথোপকথনে সাধারণত 'খুশি হওয়া' বা 'উৎসব করা' বলা হয়। 'in' বা 'at' ব্যবহার হলে, যেমন 'rejoice at the news' মানে খুশি হওয়া।
