Definition
Feixes estreitos de luz, calor ou energia, geralmente do sol ou outras fontes. Às vezes, também se refere aos animais 'arraias' do mar.

Mais usado para luz: 'raios de sol', 'raios-X'. O plural geralmente se refere à luz ou energia e não ao animal ('arraia' para o peixe). Não confundir com 'raise' (elevar, verbo em inglês).
