"put your back to" in Korean
Definition
몸을 돌려서 앞이 아닌 등에 무엇인가나 누군가가 오도록 하는 것. 문자 그대로 (방향 전환) 또는 비유적으로 (무시하거나 거절함) 사용될 수 있음.
Usage Notes (Korean)
문자 그대로(몸의 움직임)와 비유적으로('put your back to the past') 모두 사용됨. 흔한 조합: 'put your back to the wall', 'put your back to the door'. 'turn your back on'(거절함)과 혼동하지 말 것.
