Definition

嫌な点や悪い経験が原因で、興味や好意をなくしてしまうこと。何かが苦手になったり、距離を感じたりする時に使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'put off by'は誰かや何かの行動・習慣・外見などに対してネガティブな印象を受けたときに使います。'put off'（延期する）の意味とは違うので注意。
