空気を入れてふくらませたり、体の一部（ほおや胸など）を外に突き出したりすること。

「puff out」はほおや胸に空気を入れて膨らませる場面でよく使われます。自信や誇りを表す仕草としても用いられます。日常会話でよく使われ、フォーマルな表現ではありません。
