Prepararte tú mismo o a otra persona mentalmente para algo desafiante, emocionante o difícil. También puede significar intentar intimidar o desestabilizar mentalmente a alguien.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Generalmente informal; se usa mucho en deportes, competencias o situaciones de presión. 'Psyching up' es positivo (animar), 'psyching out' es negativo (intimidar). Frases comunes: 'psyching up for the game', 'psyching out the rival'.
